Jeff Marks

Jeff Marks is a seasoned executive in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as the Corporate Vice President of Emerging Businesses at Lam Research. He has a notable career spanning over two decades at Lam Research, where he played pivotal roles including President of Lam Capital and CTO of the Global Product Group. His tenure at Lam Research lasted from 1999 to 2021, during which he was instrumental in aligning product roadmaps with future industry requirements and overseeing venture investments aimed at innovative technologies beyond traditional semiconductor applications.12

Marks holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. He is recognized for his contributions to semiconductor processing, holding over 50 issued patents in this field.1 His leadership in Lam Capital focused on investing in startups and technologies that could enhance the semiconductor ecosystem and other industries, such as life sciences and industrial automation.2
