Jeff Colton is a highly experienced and successful technology senior executive with a strong background in driving top-line growth for both Fortune 100 companies and start-ups. He has been responsible for building, leading, and motivating high-performance teams that have identified, negotiated, closed, and managed over $1 billion in energy storage product revenues. Throughout his career, Jeff has been instrumental in the development of over 30 successful new products, ranging from Apple computer batteries to wind pitch control modules, and he has raised over $100 million in private equity capital.
Jeff began his career at General Electric, where he gained invaluable experience in sales and marketing management. He subsequently held senior executive positions at Sanyo Electric, Saft Battery, Skybility/Calamp, Pentadyne Power Corporation, and Ioxus, Inc. Notably, he grew Sanyo Energy's battery business from $3 million to $150 million in revenue and grew Skybility/Calamp's M2M business from $0 to $40 million in revenue. He has a particular expertise in energy storage technologies, including ultracapacitors, supercapacitors, EDLC, kinetic energy storage, flywheels, lithium-ion, nickel-metal hydride, nickel-cadmium, and lithium-manganese dioxide.
