Jeff Cain is a prominent figure in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector with extensive experience in leadership roles.13 He co-founded American Philanthropic, LLC with Jeremy Beer in 2009.56 Cain has served as CEO of CrossFit, Inc., after being recruited by the company's founder in 2016.5
Prior to his work at CrossFit and American Philanthropic, Cain held executive positions in various nonprofit organizations, charitable foundations, and for-profit businesses for over 25 years.3 He is also an author, having written "Protecting Donor Intent: How to Define and Safeguard Your Philanthropic Principles" and co-authored "The Forgotten Foundations of Fundraising: Practical Advice and Contrarian Wisdom for Nonprofit Leaders".24
Cain's background includes teaching English literature at Washington State University, where he received his M.A. and Ph.D.2 He also served honorably in the United States Marine Corps.23 Currently, Cain is associated with Lemolo Bay Advisors, where he works with select charitable organizations to address significant challenges and strengthen civil society.3
