Development Services is comprised of a number of divisions which:
* Review plans, issue permits, and inspection projects in accordance with building codes and zoning regulations.
* Issue business licenses and assist with small business development.
* Respond to complaints regarding code violations.
* Inspect, monitor, and cite vacant and/or dangerous buildings.
* Help landlords and tenants understand their responsibilities and repair their properties.
* Work with the public to plan and permit special events.
* Initiate and manage the implementation of long-term plans
* Manage the disposition of City-owned property.

Director, Department of Development Services

• P&L accountability for Infosys’ Connecticut workforce of over 1000 staff and ~$75M in annual revenue, with a focus on healthcare, financial services, and tech/telecom
• Center Head for Infosys’ Hartford delivery and training facility committed through state contracts to grow 1000+ technology jobs
in Connecticut, integrating Infosys’ new near-shore capabilities into our proven global delivery model
• US Delivery Leader for Fortune 4 healthcare account overseeing successful execution of $250M+ in annual revenue
• Executive lead for regional government, community, and academic relations, with a focus on K-12 partnerships through our US Foundation and board engagement, and workforce development through leadership roles on the Governor’s Workforce Council
• Regional lead for university partnerships including the Trinity-Infosys Applied Learning Initiative bridging liberal arts majors into digital careers along with additional support for UCONN, CSCU, University of Hartford, and others

Associate Vice President - Head of Innovation and Delivery, Hartford

• Working directly for C-suite clients, selling and delivering projects (>$12M in FY17 sales) to operationalize consumer and digital strategies, with a focus on organizational and operational model design, analytics and data-driven performance management, voice of the customer and employees, digital experience design, and growth strategies
• Key clients include HCA, Kaiser, Anthem, UnitedHealth Group, The Hartford, Erie Insurance, and the University of Texas Health System, with a focus on payer/provider collaboration, consumer-focused vertical integration opportunities, and customer engagement transformations
• Operational lead for PwC’s rapidly growing $100M digital health business for US healthcare clients, oversaw a core team of 70+; product owner for PwC’s mobile patient engagement platform
• Primary liaison between healthcare practice and PwC’s Experience Center, continuously developing and optimizing the integration of PwC’s creative, digital, and experiential capabilities into our core consulting offerings
• Frequent speaker (including HIMMS, Mobile World Congress, and AHIP CX and Digital Health Forum) and contributor to PwC’s digital health publications, lead for healthcare analyst relations, and regular guest lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University

Senior Director

Accepted the challenge of not just repeating what I knew, but making others better for it -- expanding scope from how to optimize the quarter-billion digital business to the whole $4B P&L. Took on the development and management of Personal Lines' strategic vision, including its crisp communication, a clear view into our progress (balanced scorecard), multi-channel distribution (agency/direct/affinity), and coordination of strategic initiatives, while maintaining accountability for obsessing on the delivery of world-class digital capabilities (we finally beat GEICO on some stuff that mattered).

Took what I learned from guiding investments become the one that was being invested in, leading a $30MM+ investment in digital marketing, sales, and service again from back of the napkin to profit, but this time the millions turned into billions. Let folks younger and smarter than me slap me in the face with the social/mobile thing that was looming.

(True fact: I could flip bottles far better than Tom Cruise ever thought he could.)
