Jed Herne

Jed Herne is a professional playground designer at Nature Play Solutions with a background in architecture. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Curtin University, excelling in his studies with a Course Weighted Average of 84% (HD). Additionally, he pursued architecture studies at Kingston University and achieved an A-grade average, equivalent to UK 1st Class (70-79%). Prior to this, Jed studied English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Design Graphics, and Religion at Trinity College, earning an impressive ATAR of 99.4.

Combining his love for creativity and curiosity, Jed Herne is not only a skilled designer but also a diverse creator. He authored 'Fires of the Dead,' a fantasy novel, and 'Time Management for Architecture Students,' a non-fiction work. Furthermore, Jed is the host of the Novel Analyst podcast and the Half-Baked Stories podcast, showcasing his passion for storytelling in various mediums. His ultimate goal is to craft exceptional experiences that enhance people's lives, whether through innovative playground designs or captivating literary works.

Throughout his career, Jed has gained valuable experience, including roles as an Architecture Intern at Slavin Architects, B+H Architects, and Van Aelst I Nguyen & Partners. He also served as a Student Ambassador at Curtin University, reflecting his commitment to academia and community engagement. Currently, Jed Herne thrives as a dedicated Designer at Nature Play Solutions, where he channels his creativity and expertise to create enriching environments for all.
