Jeannie Choe
Licensed Midwife at East Bay Midwives
Jeannie Choe is a multi-talented individual who has lived a fruitful and diverse life. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute and studied industrial design at the University of Illinois Chicago. She later pursued midwifery at the National College of Midwifery and attained a certification as a Certified Professional Midwife. She also studied Human Lactation at UC San Diego as part of the IBCLC program.
Jeannie has an extensive and varied work history. She served as an industrial designer at companies such as Method Products Inc. and was a Visiting Professor of Product Design at the Pratt Institute. She was also the Co-Founder and Designer of The Design Can, a creative enterprise. Jeannie also spent time as an Editorial Consultant at the MIT Media Lab, where she helped to advance the development of new media.
Jeannie's love of culinary arts has also led to her involvement in the food service industry. She worked as an Events Manager at Mission Creek Kitchen and was an organizer at SF Food Wars. She was also the Proprietress of Josie's Bake Sale, where she found a creative passion in baking.
Jeannie also has experience in the parenting world, having been a mother of two children. She worked as a Lactation Counselor and Educator at 3 Hearts Lactation & Postpartum Services, where she assisted new mothers with lactation and breastfeeding. Additionally, she spent time as an Apprentice Midwife at Loving Way Midwifery.
