He has held CEO positions in seven countries, including Canada, France, Spain, the United States, and Venezuela. Gires was the President & CEO of Total E&P Canada, Senior Vice President of North Sea Division at Total, and Vice President of Renewable Energies and Rational Use of Energy at the French Ministry of Trade and Industry. He has also held multiple advisory and board member positions, including at Pyrowave, Fluid Efficiency, and Interface Fluidics.
