Apprentice is the only system that can deliver on the promise of Pharma 4.0 and increase an organization’s speed to market.  

We are a technology company through and through; Our CEO built the initial product.

Tradeshift is a Business Network and Software Platform focused on Supply Chain Management & Procurement. Valued at over $1B (Series E) in May '18. 

Lead development of Tradeshift Buy, a new strategic product and company's largest engineering project to date.  Tradeshift Buy is the vision of how procurement should be done in 21st Century's networked world.  The product went from start to launch in 9 months, combining work of six different teams and about 50 people across engineering and product organizations. 

Program Engineering Manager - charged with meeting aggressive timelines, coordinate across five teams in multiple locations across multiple disciplines - Engineering, Product, Design, QA, and DevOps.   

Continuing to support Merchantry clients and data center initiatives, while managing business side of $1M+ offshoring relationship.

Sr. Director of Engineering

Merchantry was a Series-B venture-backed SaaS B2B company that provides an eCommerce software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology platform.  We helped online retailers to grow revenue by offering a Product Information Management (PIM) Solution, and can also route orders.   Reported to CEO.

As the Head / VP of Engineering, lead development, technical architecture and data center operations (DevOps) teams, about 25 people in total.  

Major Accomplishments: 
* Accelerate team's velocity for feature development 
* Architecture improvements - led the introduction of V3 of the architecture, focused on improving speed of development and performance. 
* Introduced Continuous Deployment, reducing deployment time from 3 weeks to daily deployments. 
* Performance improvement project results in over 100 times higher throughput.
* Modernized a number of engineering processes, resulting in acquisition. 

Data center cost optimizations resulted in savings of 50% per month, and Jean led introduction of culture of DevOps and modern tools like Docker and LogStash into infrastructure.

The goal is to be an architecture resource and help with architecting content-centric systems, both in Document Management and Web Content Management.  This involves both Java J2EE Development using open source technologies, and also infrastructure and deployment architecture.
