JD Sherry, a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years of experience, has made a name for himself as a trusted senior advisor in cyber security, risk and compliance. JD's expertise and knowledge have helped organizations establish security architecture best practices that meet strict compliance standards for Payment Card Industry (PCI), Health Information Privacy Act (HIPAA), and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data. As the former GM/Vice President of Cloud Security and Strategy at Optiv Security, JD successfully implemented large-scale public, private, and hybrid clouds using his well-versed knowledge in enterprise security and data center architecture. Before Optiv, he was CEO of Cavirin Systems, where he showed a great sense of leadership. JD has held various leadership positions through his career, including Global Vice President for Trend Micro, Vice President of Technology at NIC Inc.-EGOV.com, and various leadership positions within Honeywell FM&T. JD has an MBA/IT degree from Jones University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
