    Jay McDowell is a multi-talented individual with a diverse background in the music industry and film/video production.

    Initially a member of the country band BR5-49, Jay traveled internationally and produced six CDs, which allowed him to collaborate with respected musicians and create music he is proud of.

    Transitioning into the film and video sector, Jay found his passion in the creative process of making movies and TV, displaying a keen eye for detail and a knack for storytelling.

    His specialties include capturing, editing, motion graphics, compositing, encoding, DVD creation, and graphic design, showcasing his skills in various multimedia production aspects.

    Proficient in a wide range of software including AVID DS, AVID Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop on both Mac and PC platforms, Jay is well-versed in the latest industry tools.

    In 2008, Jay took on the role of Multimedia Curator at The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, where he contributes his expertise in multimedia curation and management.

    With an educational background in Web Technology from Nashville Software School and previous studies at Purdue University, Jay combines practical skills with formal education to excel in his field.

    Having held positions such as Multimedia Archivist and Post Production Supervisor at reputable organizations like the Musician's Hall of Fame and Museum and Black Box Media Group, Jay has demonstrated his leadership and technical acumen in the industry.
