Jay M. Wong is an accomplished innovator and roboticist with over 15 years of experience in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. He is on a mission to make technology more accessible and beneficial to society.

In 2023, Jay founded Luminous, a groundbreaking company focused on scalable solar energy solutions using robot fleets to drive sustainability. Prior to Luminous, he co-founded Southie Autonomy in 2017, specializing in industrial robot AI for contract packaging.

Jay's career includes significant roles such as a robotics scientist at Draper, where he also spearheaded a cloud robotics initiative. He has contributed as a visiting scientist at prestigious institutions like MIT and Harvard University. Jay's extensive background includes impactful work at NASA and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, his alma mater, where he excelled academically and received prestigious awards.

Throughout his career, Jay M. Wong has been actively involved in the FIRST Robotics community, showcasing his dedication to advancing robotics technology and education.

With a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, both from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Jay possesses a strong academic foundation to support his innovative work in the field.
