Javier Vélez Toro is an Undergraduate Research Assistant with a strong aspiration to become a physician in the medical field.

Javier holds a Bachelor of Science degree focused on Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida, which he completed in May 2021.
Currently, he is working on his Honors Undergraduate Thesis under the guidance of Thomas Kean, PhD, honing his research skills.
Javier has a strong educational background, having pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida and achieving an impressive GPA of 4.36 with an Honors Emphasis in Humanities and Mathematics at Forest Lake Academy.
He has been involved in various organizations, such as the Nemours Health Equity Summer Scholar Program as a Clinical Research Scholar, and has served as a Peer Advisor for the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida.
Formerly, Javier was an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, where he further developed his research capabilities.
