I’m responsible for the marketing side of the Avastin, Immuno-oncology and Lung Cancer Franchise that currently contributes with around 25% of the total sales of the company. The Franchise is composed of seven Product Managers responsible for leading the different brands of the unit.

Marketing Unit Manager - Avastin, Immunotherapy & Lung Cancer Franchise

I worked as the PM Lead responsible for the entire Lung Franchise, which embraced the oncology portfolio –Avastin Lung and Tarceva – and pipeline in lung cancer and in Immuno-oncology (mainly bladder cancer and lung cancer).

At that moment, about 10% of the Roche’s oncology sales in Spain were generated by the Lung Franchise, that required a high level of responsibility to sustain sales and accomplish objectives.

I also supported, as an affiliate representative, three different International Brand Teams that develop strategic guidelines to support other countries on their Marketing Plans and shape the future strategy of the pipeline drugs.

This role required: global strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership and project management skills.

Oncology Product Manager - Lung Franchise

I worked as a PM for Avastin Lung from January 2012 up to November 2014. 

During the first six months I led the Pan-Tumor activities related to all the Avastin’s indications (CRC, LC, BC, OC, RC and GBM). After that, I joined the Avastin’s Lung Cancer Team leading the marketing side of the product. 

During this time I was responsible for the development and implementation of the Product Brand Plan, which required high level of cross-functional interaction and leadership with internal and external customers. 

I led the implementation of a new brand campaign, a new message platform and a new segmentation strategy, which led to double our market share in 1L NSCLC within the first two years.

In coordination with the Medical & the Access team, we developed a coherent Risk Sharing Program that reinforced the marketing strategy and the product positioning, to enable the inclusion of the product in specific accounts and minimize access barriers.

I actively participated at the International Brand Teams to help on the development of robust International Business Plans that serve as guidance for other countries on their Marketing Plans.

I also participated in several corporate projects assuming different roles that allowed me to increase some skills as: communication, leadership, teamwork and negotiation.

Finally, during 12 months I led a team of two internships; this allowed me to learn how to manage people and train them on: product management and marketing basics.

Oncology Product Manager - Avastin

During almost two years I worked as PM for Prezista, one of the most successful HIV products on the Spanish IP market.

I led the marketing side of the product leading the creation and execution of the Annual Business Plan and coordination of the marketing activities across the sales team.

I joined the team in an early-stage of the product assuming high responsibility for product’s future performance and company’s profitability. Sales increased up to 70M€ and Prezista became the leading IP in its third year on the HIV Spanish market.

During the last 6 months at Janssen I also took the role of Customer Experience Manager that required my active participation on an international team that was in charge of developing projects to increase customer orientation within the company.

This experience helps me to deeply understand the pharma business, not only from the marketing side but also from the sales one. It also helped my on the development of some skills such as cooperation and coordination across multicultural and virtual teams.

Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson

HIV Product Manager - Prezista

I joined Janssen as a Business Analyst at the Market Research Department. 

I coordinated more than 25 market research studies with different Business Units and Products such as: Risperdal, Stelara, Velcade and Prezista. 

I was also responsible for the market analysis and reporting of the entire product portfolio, supporting all marketing units across the organization.

Business Analyst

I worked at the Business Development & Strategic Planning department as a Business Analyst for almost 2 years.

At the beginning I was responsible of Project Analysis: searching, analyzing and assessing potential drug developments (API or FDF) for our facilities in Spain, Italy, Argentina and India. This role helped me to learn how to assess project financial and operational feasibility within a generic company. 

At a later role, I was responsible for Project Management, coordinating projects and co-developments with our partners in East Europe.
