Jaspal Garg is a pharmacologist and research scientist specializing in vascular and adipose tissue biology. With a background in cell and molecular biology, Jaspal's work focuses on understanding inter- and intracellular communication in physiological settings. Jaspal's expertise includes using pharmacological and genetic tools to study biomolecules in primary cells, organoids, isolated tissues, and murine models. Research projects have centered on RTK- and GPCR-activated pathways in blood vessels and brown adipose tissue, with a recent emphasis on heterotrimeric G-proteins and their regulators. Beyond technical skills, Jaspal has developed transferable skills in experimental design, data analysis, project management, scientific writing, and presentation. Jaspal is seeking challenging roles in early-stage drug discovery for diseases with unmet medical needs. Educational background includes a PhD in Biology from Heidelberg University, an MTech in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and a BTech in Biotechnology from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Professional experience spans various roles at institutions like University Hospital Heidelberg, UKB, UMCG, University of Düsseldorf, and others. In leisure time, Jaspal enjoys outdoor activities with family and occasional TV time.
