Jason Turgeon

Jason Turgeon is a multifaceted professional who has had an interesting and diverse career. He is an expert in water innovations and the water/energy nexus. Currently, he works as a Specialist in Water Innovations at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where he plays an important role in the EPA's efforts to tackle the $217 billion maintenance backlog in the wastewater sector. Jason visits drinking water and wastewater facilities, meets with policymakers and engineers, and works with mayors and town managers to explain why his work is so important. He is also an installation artist and arts event organizer, having worked on projects such as the Blunderwood Portable, a giant climbable typewriter, FIGMENT Boston, and Bartlett Events. Additionally, Jason is a licensed real estate salesperson and has also been a boat captain, UV water disinfection specialist, advocate for the use of free textbooks in college courses, photobooth owner, and more. Some of his inspirations include BettieJune Scarborough, Hunter and Amory Lovins, Michael Pollan, Edward Tufte, Ed Deming, Saul Williams, Larry Harvey, and his amazing team of volunteers.
