Senior Lecturer
Jason Owens, Ph.D. is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at The Ohio State University.13 He specializes in teaching and research in German language, global studies, African studies, Afro-German culture and history, and the effects of human displacement on culture, identity, and assimilation.1
Academic Background
Dr. Owens received his Ph.D. in German Linguistics and Cultural Studies from Georgetown University in 2001.1 He also holds an M.A. in German and European Studies and a B.S. in French and German, both from Georgetown University.1
