Jason Luther

Jason Luther is a seasoned Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel with a strong background in leading legal initiatives in the government administration industry.

He is well-versed in providing crucial legal advice and creative solutions on a wide array of topics including policy, operations, acquisitions, technology, personnel, fiscal and budget issues, security, government ethics, as well as public and legislative affairs for organizational clients.

With a robust skill set, Jason oversees and manages all legal aspects impacting the agency, ranging from civil litigation, criminal prosecution, bankruptcy, collections, regulatory licensing and enforcement, to contracts, procurement, and Freedom of Information Act compliance.

He plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of agency policies related to tax, regulatory, and administrative law matters.

Jason Luther has a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Covenant College.

His professional experience includes serving as the Chief Legal Officer at the South Carolina Department of Revenue, as well as formerly holding the position of General Counsel at the same organization.

Prior to these roles, he worked as an Attorney at Murphy & Grantland, P.A., a Law Clerk to the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and as an Attorney at Nelson Mullins.

Jason has also gained experience in various fields, having held positions such as Management/Sales at Meyer's Pride Construction, LLC, Paralegal at James L. Henry, Attorney at Law, Car Driver at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Project Intern at Nexsen Pruet, LLC, and Manager at Chick-fil-A.
