Jason Chua is an accomplished operations and innovation executive whose expertise transcends the boundaries of Fortune 50 corporations, Silicon Valley startups, and elite universities. With extensive experience in building high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives, he is a consummate "enabler-in-chief," working assiduously to help individuals and teams achieve ambitious goals by removing distractions.
As the COO and co-founder of Universal Hydrogen, Jason leads a fuel logistics company that is making commercial hydrogen flight a near-term reality. Before his current role, he established and managed the skunkworks unit, UT Advanced Projects, at United Technologies, responsible for launching the hybrid-electric demonstrator, Project 804. He has also developed modular airplanes for Airbus, customizable smartphones for Google, and won two FastCompany's Innovation by Design Awards for his work.
Jason is an alumnus of both Stanford University and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where he completed his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering - Mechatronics, B.S. in Engineering - Product Design, and Master of Business Administration - MBA, respectively. He has diverse work experience, including lecturing as a Professor at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford and serving as the Co-Founder and Director of Operations at SparkTruck, a unique educational initiative that aims to inspire future innovators.
