Lightwave pioneered smart home automation with the introduction of the market's first Internet enabled devices in 2008. Today the Company markets a complete smart home system for lighting, heating, power and security.

Lightwave offers a cloud platform and an extensive range of retrofitted LightwaveRF designed and manufactured sockets, dimmers, relays, thermostats, heating, energy, sensing, monitoring and control devices. These devices are operated by conventional manual control, handheld remote, smartphone and tablet based apps. The LightwaveRF system can also be operated using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice control, is Apple HomeKit compatible and provides users with dashboards to manage their smart home.

Responsible for the strategic management of sales, operations, customer services and finance for a very exciting software development business.

My role was very broad, from building and delivering a successful business pipeline, consulting with our customers to developing and delivering new software functionality and ideas, through to designing our marketing and e-comms strategy and building and managing a first rate customer success team. 

Our business was focussed on innovative software that enabled the efficient management of business process and the removal of cumbersome, paper based Health and Safety systems.

As Director of New Business, Bid Management and Sales Operations, I was responsible for Azzurri's New Business P&L, including opportunity generation, proposition development, new business sales, cross selling into existing accounts and bid production / management.

As Head of Public Sector, I was responsible for the establishment of Azzurri's Public Sector business vertical. During this time, the turnover of Public Sector business in Azzurri grew from £50k to around £17m. I was responsible for the operating P&L, including opportunity generation, proposition development, new business sales, cross selling into existing accounts and our accreditations for PSN, our relationship with the Cabinet Office and the Government Procurement Service.

As Divisional Director, I was responsible for an entire Azzurri business unit covering sales, operations and project management. I was responsible for the business unit operating P&L.

As Head of Programme Management, my main responsibility was the management of the IT to Business interface for new product and service development. During my time at Geopost, I ran two significant business projects, the first, for Parceline, was to develop a new parcel delivery system including back end infrastructure, software development and deployment of over 4000 devices to 50 delivery depots. The second project was to redefine and market a new set of products and services for Interlink Express and to launch those to over 100 franchisees and 40,000 customers.
