Jason Bell

Jason Bell, a sought-after speaker, consultant, and author, has over 30 years of experience in various technologies, customer sectors, and disciplines. He is widely known for his expertise in data-related topics such as machine learning, customer loyalty, and products like Kafka and Hadoop. Jason has shared his insights and knowledge as a speaker at various conferences around the world and served on different program committees such as O'Reilly’s Strata Data Conference and Northern Ireland Developer's Conference.

Jason has authored the book "Machine Learning Hands-on for Developers Technical Professionals" in 2014, which was largely updated and released in its second edition in early 2020. Currently, he is an active member of the Conflunt Kafka Community, where he contributes to meetups, his own blog, and podcasts on Kafka topics.

Jason has a special interest in retail customer data mining, with a strong focus on using machine learning to delight customers with accurate predictions without overwhelming them. He has worked for reputable organizations such as Digitalis.io, Yapster, Minoro, DeskHoppa, Mastodon C, SportsFusion, and Aerleasing.
