Jason Bant

Meet Jason Bant, a passionate individual with a strong educational background in chemical engineering, cellular neurophysiology, and ion channel biophysics. He has completed his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University. Jason is currently serving as a postdoctoral scientist at Gladstone Institutes and focusing on high-frequency information coding in hippocampal circuits.

With a keen interest in the intricate workings of the brain, Jason is driven to understand the root causes of Alzheimer's pathology, which he believes to be the gravest unmet medical need worldwide. He also completed the IGNITE program in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Apart from his academic and research pursuits, Jason has also held various roles in the industry. Before joining Gladstone, he worked as a scientific advisor in a stealthy mode startup company and was a West Coast sales representative at Rheaply. Previously, he served as a postdoctoral researcher and fellow at Stanford University after his graduation from Northwestern University.

In his early career, Jason worked as a cytogenetic technologist and research technician at the University of Illinois at Chicago and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, respectively.

Jason's impressive background in neuroscience and entrepreneurship has earned him recognition in the industry. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible and willing to collaborate with others to achieve a common goal of better understanding the intricacies of the human brain.
