Jarrid Tingle

Jarrid Tingle is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Harlem Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm established in 2015. The firm focuses on investing in diverse founders, with a mission to support 1,000 entrepreneurs over the next 20 years. Harlem Capital currently manages a $40 million fund and has backed numerous companies, including Workchew and Wellory, among others.12

Education and Background

Tingle holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude. He was actively involved in leadership roles, including serving as the President of the Black Wharton Undergraduate Association. He later earned an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was recognized as a Baker Scholar.12

Career Path

Before co-founding Harlem Capital, Tingle worked as a Private Equity Investment Professional at ICV Partners and as an Investment Banker in the Global Technology, Media & Telecommunications group at Deutsche Bank. His experience in both private equity and investment banking has equipped him with the skills necessary to identify and support promising startups.13

Achievements

Tingle has received several accolades for his contributions to the venture capital field, including being named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2019 and recognized by EBONY as part of their Power 100 in the same year. He has also been involved in initiatives to promote diversity within the tech and venture capital industries.12
