Jarl Mohn

Jarl Mohn is an influential figure in the media industry, known for his role as the President Emeritus and former CEO of NPR (National Public Radio). His tenure at NPR lasted from 2014 to 2019, during which he significantly improved the organization's financial health and audience reach. Under his leadership, NPR achieved record ratings and revenues, reversing a trend of financial losses that had plagued the organization prior to his arrival.12

Mohn's career spans various media platforms. He began in radio, working as a disc jockey and later taking on roles as a programmer and general manager. Notably, he was instrumental in creating E! Entertainment Television, where he served as President and CEO from 1990 to 1998.
