Jared Alexander

Jared Alexander is an accomplished software engineer with expertise in iOS and Android app development. With a passion for creating impactful apps, he is an early adopter of new technologies and enjoys experimenting with various platforms and frameworks. Jared is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experiences with others through his personal website.

At Capital One, Jared serves as an engineering lead for mobile development teams, overseeing the popular Capital One Mobile app. He takes pride in nurturing his team's growth and supporting their career advancement. Previously, he spent six years as a faculty member at the George Washington University, teaching Software Design focused on mobile applications. Additionally, Jared co-founded Tysons Apps LLC, a successful app development company.

Jared holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia. His primary technical skills include mobile development in iOS and Android, expertise in Swift, Kotlin, and JavaScript languages, as well as teaching experience. He is currently expanding his knowledge in Flutter & Dart.

Beyond mobile development, Jared possesses a diverse range of technical skills, including frontend web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), backend development with NodeJS, and cloud services like AWS and Heroku. He is also experienced in Internet of Things projects, browser extension development, web scraping, and proficient in IDEs and version control systems.
