Circulair Ontwerper  -  Hollands Wol Collectief

The Dutch Wool Collective (Hollands Wol Collectief) aims to give all Dutch wool a valuable place in the Dutch economy. Assembled in the wool collective, different entrepreneurs are working together to create products making use of the unique properties of wool (insulating, nutritive and many more). My role in the collective is to make sure everything runs smoothly and loose ends will be turned into circular solutions. Together with my partner Mirthe Snoek I set up the base conditions for all entrepeneurs to work with this amazing material.

At Green Circles we set up collaborations to work on a shared dream to create a sustainable supply chain with nature as a partner.  https://groenecirkels.nl/. I've been diving in the world of fries, to discard waste and see value in all residual streams. Within https://detuinvanholland.nl/ we work on changing the food system. We will create a future proof menu that is: diverse, sustainable, available, local, healthy and above all tasty!  Are you with us?

As a trainee at 'Provincie Zuid-Holland' I get the chance to explore working for the government as developing my professional skills. Within two years I join three departments:
1. Infrastructure: working on smart mobility and how to develop as a team to move with the market.
2. ACCEZ: Accelerating Circular Economy Zuid-Holland programme, that aims to bridge knowledge gaps towards the circular economy by linking science to businesses and policy. 
3. Groene Cirkels: Closing the loops by a unique collaboration in the field of fries. I tackle the circular economy from within: working at the Province as well as Farm Frites.

Trainee

Development of the MOOC (Massive open online course) 'Sustainable packaging in a circular economy'. The course consists of 6 episodes. In these episodes  learners are guided through different circular strategies for sustainable packaging (Recycle, Reuse and Renew) concluded by Rethinking the complete process of packaging. Together with my team Jos Vlugter en Jannes Nelissen I designed the setup of the course and created the content.

As a design intern at Roetz bikes I looked into the way customers can compose their own Roetz bike at the bike shop, sustainable packaging for accessories and the showroom of the new Fair Factory.

Student assistent for Product Dynamics

As a student assistent I was responsible for the organisation of multiple events. Together with my colleagues I organised the open days for future students, several symposia and other festivities within the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Next to this I also supported the communication department by doing all kind of small tasks, like creating subscription forms in collector or making posters with upcoming events.

It is an association with 2500 members, organising over 100 activities a year. 

As a secretary I was responsible for the acqusition of the association (shared), managing and coaching 4 committees, taking care of the administration (non-financial), vice president and organising a lot of events.
