Jane Snowdon

Dr. Jane L. Snowdon is the Associate Chief Health Officer for IBM Watson Health, a Member of the IBM Industry Academy, and a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA) with a rich background in driving strategy and global research efforts in data and clinical evidence studies for Watson Health's cognitive solutions.

Jane has earned recognition for her outstanding contributions such as the 2020 Health Tech Hero Award from IBM Watson Health, 2020 YWCA Greenwich Women Who Inspire Award, and the 2019 Achievement in Industry Award from the American Public Health Association's Applied Public Health Statistics (APHS) Section.

Prior to her current role, she served as Chief Innovation Officer at IBM US Federal in Washington DC, focusing on innovation strategy and defining offerings to meet client mission requirements. She also led the IBM Federal Cloud Innovation Center and held notable positions in technology and innovation councils.

Dr. Snowdon's prior experience includes a pivotal role as a Senior Manager in the Department of Strategy and Worldwide Technical Operations at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, where she played a key role in directing IBM's global research strategy.

Jane Snowdon holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science (MS) in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) with distinction in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Penn State University. She also completed a MicroMBA program teaching finance, marketing, and strategy at IBM.

Dr. Snowdon's professional affiliations include membership in respected organizations such as AMIA, APHA, HIMSS, INFORMS, SIGMA XI, and many more. She has been inducted into prestigious academies like the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering and the Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni at Georgia Tech.
