She holds a Master's degree from the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences at the University of Washington, a Graduate Certificate in International Development Policy and Management from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington, a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and has a background in high school education from Carmel High School and Groton School.

With a wealth of experience in sustainability, strategic sourcing, quality management, and operations, Jane has held key roles such as Vice President of Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability at Numi Organic Tea. She has also contributed as a member of the Community Advisory Committee at East Bay Community Energy, showcasing her commitment to community engagement and sustainable practices. Her previous roles include Director of Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability, Director of Quality, Sourcing & Sustainability at Numi Organic Tea, Director of Operations in Food & Agriculture at SCS Global Services, and Manager of Sustainability in the Food & Agriculture Division at SCS Global Services.
