Jane Berg

Jane Berg is an experienced palliative care nurse and educator who has a background in nursing and a strong focus on end-of-life care.

She is known for being a facilitator/trainer for nationally recognized programs such as SAGE & THYME and Project ECHO.

Currently, Jane leads a team of hospice lecturers dedicated to promoting the delivery of optimal end-of-life care.

Her educational journey includes studying Diploma in District Nursing at Portsmouth Polytechnic, Nurse Training at Basingstoke and Winchester School of Nursing, MSc in Health Sciences at University of Birmingham, and MSc Professional Studies in Health & Social Care focusing on Palliative Care at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Jane Berg has held key positions in various organizations including Deputy Director of Skills, Knowledge & Research at Princess Alice Hospice, Head of Education at the same institution, lecturer at Bangor University, and Clinical Nurse Specialist at Macmillan Cancer Support.

She is dedicated to promoting essential palliative care education and is actively involved in disseminating knowledge through programs like the European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care.

Jane's expertise lies in training, education, and research, focusing on improving end-of-life care practices for healthcare professionals and caregivers.
