Janani Thillainathan is a professional with a diverse educational background and rich professional experience in law, public health, and First Nations studies.
She holds a Doctor of Law (JD/JID) degree from the University of Victoria and an Honors Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in First Nations Studies from Western University.
Janani has worked in various roles including as a Summer Legal Research Student at Wahkohtowin Law and Governance Lodge in the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, a Summer Student at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, and as the Tuberculosis Project Lead & Consultant at Chiefs of Ontario.
Her experience also includes research roles such as being a Research Assistant in Health Equity Action Research at the Master of Public Health Program in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and as a First Nations Studies Research Assistant at Western University.
Janani Thillainathan has further contributed through internships such as the Summer Intern at the Ontario Medical Student Bursary Fund and the Summer Intern focused on Membership, Benefits & Operations at the Ontario Medical Association.
