Jan Weitz

Jan Weitz is a highly skilled Technical Lead DevSecOps who has held various positions during his long and distinguished career. He has studied Allgemeine Hochschulreife in Physical Sciences at Hermann-Josef-Kolleg Steinfeld, High School Diploma in Physics at Sheridan Lake Highschool, Colorado, and received his Diploma in Theoretical Physics at the University of Cologne.

Jan currently works as a Technical Lead DevSecOps & Product Owner DevSecOps Team at DEVK Versicherungen, where he oversees a team of developers and manages various projects. Prior to this, Jan worked as a Freelance Software Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer, and Interim Product Owner Cloud at DEVK Versicherungen, SumUp, and iosphere GmbH.

Before he joined the private sector, Jan worked as a Student Assistant at the Institute of Physics II and Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology at the University of Cologne, as well as at Logos Wirtschaftsberatung, Gero C. Sifferath. He also served as Basic Military Service at 3./WachBtl BMVg, Siegburg.

Jan's complex and diverse professional background has made him an expert in multiple areas, from software development and DevOps engineering to theoretical physics, physical sciences, and product management. He is an excellent problem solver, able to think big while remaining detail-oriented, and enjoys taking on new challenges.
