Jamil Bata

Jamil Bata is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and extensive professional experience.

Jamil holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from The University of Texas School of Law, a BBA in Finance from Texas McCombs School of Business, and has also completed a Summer Study Abroad program at The University of Edinburgh.

Jamil has held various key positions in reputable organizations, currently serving as the Vice President & Senior Counsel at Goldman Sachs.

Prior to his current role, Jamil has also worked as a Private Equity/M&A Senior Managing Associate at Sidley Austin LLP and has experience as a Finance and Corporate Summer Associate at the same firm.

His professional journey includes roles as a Corporate Summer Associate at Baker Botts, a Student Representative at LexisNexis, and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business.

Jamil has also contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business under the guidance of Professor David Spence.

His diverse work experience extends to legal internships, including one at the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.
