Jamie Potter
Jamie Potter is an experienced engineer with interests ranging from geophysics and natural resources to sustainability and renewable energy. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science in Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her experience includes numerical modeling and mechanics, including creating a model to determine the enthalpy needed to produce oil from an oil shale formation during an internship at Schlumberger, and investigating the effects of pressure changes in fractured rocks on surface deformation over reservoirs during her master's program. Most recently, she created a TOUGH3-wellbore coupled model of the Ngatamariki geothermal system to plan for long-term electricity generation in her position as a Reservoir Engineer at Mercury NZ. Jamie has also held positions as a teaching assistant, research assistant, and workshop leader at various educational institutions.
