James co-founded Propia in early 2014 and is responsible for the day to day running of the business. This includes marketing, sales, research, finance, operations and business development.

Responsible for the daily management of the FTSE UK Commercial Property Index Series as well as providing assistance with investment management elsewhere in the business and broad economic and real estate research. 

The role of index management involves daily advice given to FTSE on the changing values of the underlying constituents. Through this role, James has built up a detailed knowledge of the structure and behaviour of the UK commercial property market with an emphasis on the performance and composition of the UK indirect property fund market. 

During his property career, James has been involved in many aspects of the real estate world including indirect fund trading, fund launch and management, UK and European portfolio acquisitions, and ongoing research and business development. He graduated from London South Bank University with a distinction in Estate Management MSc and also gained the IMC qualification. He has a 2:1 BA (hons) degree in Economics with Hispanic studies obtained from the University of Nottingham.
