James Webb

James Webb is a seasoned journalist with over 25 years of experience. He studied journalism at Bradley University and went on to earn his Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield. Throughout his career, James has held various editorial positions, including Metro Investigations and Enterprise Editor, Illinois Political Editor, and Chicago News Editor at the Chicago Tribune, as well as Correspondent and various reporting positions at the Associated Press.

James has a wealth of expertise in establishing systems for coverage of complex, large-scale issues and events in 24/7, multi-channel environments, and transitioning news organizations into the digital age. With supervisory, evaluation and hiring experience with staffs ranging from six to 25 people, he has a reputation for speed, accuracy, and exceptional news judgment in anticipating where "the story" will come from and evolve.

Currently, James serves as the Director of Operations at Serafin & Associates, a Chicago-based communications and public affairs firm. In this role, he applies his extensive knowledge of journalism and media to guide the firm's strategic approach and develop effective messaging campaigns for their clients.
