As the Training Specialist, I will be leading regular training and fidelity checks for facilitators/educators on a flexible schedule that will include weekends and evenings. Work Ready Oklahoma (WRO) is a best practices workforce development initiative led by Public Strategies and key partners from around the country. WRO serves a number of populations: Veterans, the long-term unemployed, historically underemployed, individuals with a criminal background including those re-entering society from incarceration, incumbent workers, low-skilled or wage workers, and individuals receiving public assistance such as SNAP and TANF benefits and cureent professionals!

I must demonstrate an exceptional understanding of content, be observant in the fidelity of that content itself as well as the facilitation of it and assist with the training and onboarding of new trainers. WRO programs demonstrate the value and efficacy of well-thought approaches to incorporating soft skills, vocational training, continuing education, job placement, job coaching, and career advancement in ways that make obtaining consistent gainful employment in areas that pay a living wage more accessible to these groups!

Public Strategies (PS) is a nationally respected project consulting firm, based in Oklahoma City, providing federal, state, and local clients with a range of services to include project management, program development and management, and communications/marketing strategies and support.

The Lead Master Trainer will contribute to the mastery of the concepts for teaching a variety frameworks and curricula to support education and skill attainment for the clients, customers, and program participants served by Public Strategies. This position will be exposed to content in the human services subject matter area with the expectation of becoming an expert trainer of educators tasked with facilitating workshops, one-on-one sessions, small groups, and other types of learning environments. The Master Trainer will participate in a continuous learning agenda combining key insights around effective engagement with evidenced based skills attainment designed to provide measurable impact to those involved. Will be an accomplished coalition and consensus builder who is comfortable guiding groups of educators with varying levels of experience to competency in facilitating content. Particular emphasis will be in areas that include increasing executive function, motivational interviewing, family-centered coaching, relationship education, economic stability, financial literacy or workforce and job readiness.

The Education and Employment Ministry is an interfaith, 501(c) 3, nonprofit organization that exists to break cycles of incarceration and poverty in Oklahoma. By providing education, social services, job training and ultimately, job placement services to individuals re-entering society, TEEM aims to reduce recidivism rates, strengthen families and increase public safety.

TEEM takes a three-pronged approach to breaking cycles of incarceration and poverty in Oklahoma by providing its participants with education, social services and job placement assistance. We holistically prepare our participants for employment and successful reintegration by incorporating mentoring, character building, job and life skills training into our program. TEEM's courses are evidence-based and supported by thorough research. Because Oklahoma consistently ranks among the highest in the nation in male and female incarceration rates, TEEM is poised to make a lasting impact in the lives of many of the 8,400 Oklahomans who re-enter society after a period of incarceration each year. 

We believe individuals who truly desire to succeed should not be defined by past mistakes, but rather, by their potential for future success. With the support of the community, we strive to break the stigma attached to individuals who have been impacted by incarceration. Directed the daily operations of a 120-member MLRS battery. Planned the personnel training, maintenance and logistical needs of the battery for local and worldwide deployment. Advised platoon sergeants on planning different training strategies to obtain training objectives. Observed and evaluated crew and platoon level training to ensure the highest levels of readiness are maintained and achieved. Performed personnel and equipment inspections to enforce standards and determine areas to sustain or improve. Ensured battery maintenance and technical supply personnel complied with established standards to meet the needs of the battery. Supervised and monitored all special emphasis areas including safety, physical security, equal opportunity, retention, training, physical fitness, logistics, maintenance and quality of life. Assisted the unit commander in developing and implementing plans and policies to increase personnel morale and equipment readiness.

Senior Manager

Assisted the Project manager in the proper training, planning, and fielding of future weapon systems in the military to Army, Marine Corps and Army National Guard (ARNG) units. Responsible to the fielding officer for the logistics, scheduling, planning and coordination of all government and contracted assets for the accurate fielding and training of ARNG units during conversion to a new weapon system.

Provided initial instruction to over 700 students in 3 separate State National Guard organizations. Developed lesson plans, slides using Power Point presentations and exams adopted for training courses in the operations of the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS).
Developed and implemented the first distance learning course taught from Ft. Sill, Oklahoma in two months, using Video Tele-Teaching facilities scheduled training, trained four new contract instructors and began teaching to remote sites in North Carolina, South Dakota and Texas. Gave numerous briefings and presentations to visiting dignitaries.

Maintained all sensitive material in an organization of over 450 personnel. Planned, coordinated, supervised and participated in the collection, interpretation, analysis and evaluation of intelligence. Provided instruction/facilitation for classes pertaining to security and intelligence. Executed special observances of security policies. Controlled and monitored all arms room security issues and enforced the security policies throughout the organization. Prepared subordinate organizations for Law Enforcement Command Inspections. Maintained, updated and changed unit security policies as needed or based on the current command philosophy. Interacted and communicated with several national security agencies and local law enforcement communities.

Intelligence Officer

Selected from among 20 personnel to take the Unit Inventory Control Analyst position based on my maturity, dependability and background as a material and supply specialist. Managed and supervised a 10 man staff, responsible for inventory control and P&L of over $45 million worth of government equipment. Assisted customers with hand receipt inventories, material movements, and Reports of Survey while managing all administrative functions related to automated Property book data transactions of the unit.
