James Ong

James Ong is a Business student at Nanyang Technological University, specializing in Corporate Innovation & Strategy. With a background as a startup ecosystem builder, he excels in project management and operations, focusing on technology and innovation for the greater good. Passionate about nurturing startups in Southeast Asia, James has been actively involved in Singapore's tech startup scene since 2016.

Previously serving as a Project Manager at e27, James spearheaded the launch of e27 Pro, a membership platform for startup founders, and oversaw various programs at Echelon Asia Summit, the premier business and technology conference in Southeast Asia. He has also contributed to government initiatives like the Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology (SWITCH).

His educational journey includes participating in the Global Entrepreneurs Internship Programme (GEIP), where he honed skills in Techtrepreneurship & Startup Ecosystem Building. James pursued his Bachelor of Business Administration at Nanyang Technological University after completing a Diploma in International Business from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Additionally, he studied Physics at St Patricks Secondary School.

James Ong has held roles such as Air Warfare Officer at the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Project Executive at e27 (Optimatic), Marketing And Business Development Intern at The Ascott Limited, and Curator at Slush, showcasing a diverse professional background in project management, marketing, and business development.
