James Li is a highly experienced engineering leader, with particular expertise in content understanding and signals engineering. He currently works at Snap Inc. in a leadership role, overseeing a talented team of engineers to enhance content quality and recommendations. Prior to joining Snap, James spent over five years at Facebook, where he led teams working on Ranking and Integrity for News Feed. His extensive background in statistics, applied mathematics, and economics includes a Ph.D. from Cornell University and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. James has also held various roles at Yahoo and Google, where he worked as a research scientist and an analytics intern, respectively.
