James Lawrence

James Lawrence is an accomplished entrepreneur, innovator, and philanthropist whose expertise in technology has driven many successful ventures. He co-founded Engiven, a groundbreaking company that helps non-profit organizations grow their mission through cryptocurrency-based donations. Prior to that, he established Mogiv, a mobile and cloud-based giving platform for non-profit organizations that was acquired in 2016. Before that, he was the Chief of Staff + Innovation at The Rock Church San Diego. There, he oversaw software development, online broadcasting systems, and product commercialization, among other things.
Besides overseeing successful companies, James utilizes his skills to help others. He served three years in full-time ministry with YoungLife, an international youth outreach organization. He has degrees in Design and English from Westmont College.
Throughout his career, James Lawrence has been instrumental in designing and building technology products that have improved production, manufacturing, and business automation. He has helped various companies create software products that have been used worldwide. He founded GrepNet, a software engineering company that commercialized in-memory database technologies and built software products for global companies and the US Government, which was later acquired by McAfee/Intel in 2012.
James Lawrence has extensive experience in technology innovation, enterprise data networking, and software product commercialization. His skills have enabled him to build innovative software products that have proven to be successful. He currently serves on the board of the San Diego Half Marathon, one of San Diego's premier running events.
