James Lafa

Meet James Lafa, a highly accomplished and driven backend engineer, CTO, and co-founder with a strong passion for building and designing scalable applications and RESTful APIs. With years of expertise in the tech industry, James has acquired multifaceted experience in designing and building large, scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructures with micro-services for data storage and processing, using Python. Additionally, he has worked on complex data visualizations with D3.js and has built peer2peer file transfer applications using WebRTC.

James has contributed significantly to several projects that use machine learning such as Neural Networks, CNN, SVM, and Random Forest. He is highly interested in the field of Artificial Intelligence and is constantly keeping up to date on the latest advancements.

James is also an active member of numerous communities, such as Hacks/Hackers Berlin, Data visualizations Berlin, and AngularJS Berlin. Additionally, he teaches programming to refugees at Redi School.

James’s past experience includes being an entrepreneur at Entrepreneur First, a research fellow at Hackmind.ai, a CTO and Co-founder at Dentolo, and an experienced Frontend Developer at Pipe. He was also the CEO at AngryKatze and was involved in the design and implementation of a network scanner on a large scale as a freelancer. James has held various other positions in leading organizations like Accenture Technology Solutions such as Testing Team Manager, J2EE Developer for Banque Populaire, Development Team Leader for EDF, and also worked on HR Access SAP HR interfaces development for Disneyland Paris.
