James Katz is a highly accomplished strategic leader and experienced attorney. With over a decade of experience in driving community-based initiatives that promote social and economic growth, he has become a thought leader in the field. Mr. Katz is known for his exceptional ability to forge effective partnerships between the public and private sectors, a skill he leverages to drive mission-driven capital improvements that meet socially-oriented community needs. He has a Master's Degree in Public Policy and a Law Degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Brown University. Mr. Katz has served in key positions in government, including as Deputy Secretary for Economic Development and Workforce at New York State Executive Chamber and as Deputy Borough President at the Office of the Manhattan Borough President. He has also held senior positions at New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President and Director of Policy and Planning. Additionally, Mr. Katz has worked for Transition NYC - Mayor Bill de Blasio, the Office of the New York State Attorney General, and 1199 SEIU. He has also served as the Deputy State Director (Nevada) at America Coming Together.
