James Hoare

James Hoare is a Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in the Energy Industry spanning over 36 years, covering areas such as Engineering, Innovation, Product Development, Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Management.

Hoare has played a significant role in advocating for renewable energy, particularly in the UK, and has been an active proponent of solar PV, solar thermal, wind, hydro, biomass, heat pumps, energy efficiency, and off-grid energy storage systems among others since 1991.

He has specific expertise in Solar PV, including large and small-scale grid-tied and off-grid systems, System Verification & Validation Testing, Grid Connection of Distributed Generation, Energy Auditing, and UAV piloting.

James Hoare holds a BSc in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from City, University of London, an MBA in Business Studies from The Open University, and has received education at Tonbridge School.

Throughout his career, he has held various roles in esteemed organizations such as Partner & Consultant Engineer at LHW Partnership LLP, Associate at CLS Energy (Consultancy) Limited, Associate at Prospect Law Ltd, Technical Director at Ardenham Energy, and Head of 'Off-Grid' Energy Storage Systems at Solarcentury, among others.
