James Gan

James Gan is a Software Engineer with a rich background in non-profits and technology, known for his innovative contributions.

With a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, James also pursued studies in Technology Innovation at the University of Washington and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science from Cornell University.

His professional journey includes roles like Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Affirm, Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer II at PayPal, Graduate Associate Instructor and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington College of Engineering.

James has been involved in various projects and organizations, such as his role as a Management Consultant for Microsoft Philanthropies' TEALS program, where he significantly reduced costs and improved attendance metrics. He also delved into research with the University of Washington Department of Computer Science & Engineering on CAD for accessibility and was a founding member of PayPal's Blockchain Research Group.

His achievements include being recognized as a PayPal Top 100 Global Innovator, winning prizes at prestigious Hackathons hosted by Google, BlackRock, Bloomberg, among others, and identifying a significant vulnerability in a leading Blockchain ICO company.
