James Edholm

James Edholm is a Senior Officer (Data Scientist) at HMRC with a background in theoretical physics and leadership roles in various organizations.

With a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Lancaster University, James researched gravity near black holes, leading to multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference talks, and seminars.

During his time at Lancaster University, he engaged in teaching, organizing talks, and representing the IOP Gravitational Physics Group.

James has previous experience as a Technical Consultant at Actica Consulting, where he managed projects for government departments like the Department for Transport, the Home Office, and DCMS.

His diverse experience includes roles as an Assurance intern at PwC, involvement in voluntary organizations, and leadership positions in rowing clubs, RAF Cadets, and the Scouts.

He studied Maths and Physics at the University of Durham and holds an MSci 2:1 (Hons).
