I also championed member requirements in the development of future solutions with a special focus on network and technology.

Account Manager - Technologies

As Business Development Associate I built and nurtured the Centre's relationships with external (non-Loughborough University) users, collaborators and strategic partners. Primary clients were private industry in the fields of advanced manufacturing, energy production and life sciences with increasing utilisation by peer Universities and research organisations. I worked closely with each client to develop a deep understanding of how HPC can supplement their ICT portfolio and benefit their product development workflow. I also utilised their experiences and feedback to improve and expand the HPC Midlands offer.

Business Development Associate

Warwick Law School is in the top 10 for research in the UK (REF 2014) and is distinguished by its contextual approach to the study of law and its commitment to an international perspective.

In this maternity cover role as Research Administrator I provided advice and support to the School’s academic researchers on issues relating to grant and contract applications for externally funded projects. Dedicated support included:

-  Horizon scanning for appropriate funding and collaboration opportunities.
-  Assisting in the preparation of grant applications including checks against funder requirements, costing, electronic submission and updating appropriate databases.
-  Bridging and encouraging the uptake of University services such as Research Office Finance and Research Librarian Support.
-  Identifying and encouraging the uptake of external support opportunities provided by professional and funding bodies as well as collaborations with peer Universities and research organisations.
-  Preparing detailed management accounting information including regular reports and analysis of research and contract applications and award activity.
-  Championing the School’s research priorities and its individual researchers at the administrative, managerial and organisational levels.
-  Overseeing the administration and financial management of the Warwick Legal Research Institute, including the organising, marketing and running of a Seminar and Public Lecture Series.

Working with the Policy Development Team I assessed the effectiveness of a three-year external contract by researching program documentation, interviewing stakeholders, and assessing future capabilities within the Directorate. A final 7,000 word report now acts as a summary document of the project and its future options.

During this second stint with CRAB I helped assure the accuracy of incoming data during the closing procedures for the cancer prevention trial I worked on in 2007.  In addition to continuing my previous tasks I also assisted with the collection of information necessary to finish site participation.

As part of a three person team responsible for raising $2.25mil annually I created and updated operational policies and procedures, migrated donor and financial database from Access to specialised platform, physically and electronically managed over 1,000 annual donors accounts, provided analysis of donor and donation activity to assist executive team planning, provided background research on "major donors", organised and gave presentations at public and business-to-business events ranging up to 1,000 guests, and helped launch the organisation's first public marketing campaign.
