Dr. James Chen, MD, is a renowned orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques for various joints including knee, shoulder, elbow, hip, and ankle.
His expertise includes anatomic ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability, and joint replacements.
Dr. Chen completed his specialty fellowship at UCSF in Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy, and is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

A native of Northern California, Dr. Chen has a background in soccer, having played at Jesuit High School, the Olympic Development program, and as a collegiate athlete at Swarthmore College.
Apart from his professional pursuits, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, running, and skiing.
