With a diverse background in legal and policy roles, James has served in key positions in various organizations. Presently, he holds the position of Vice President of Public Policy & Chief Regulatory Counsel at Rivian, where he contributes significantly to shaping public policy strategies.

Previously, James Chen founded JC Enterprises Consulting, PLLC, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit. He has also held executive roles such as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Chanje Energy, Inc., Vice President of Government Relations and General Counsel at Faraday Future, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Deputy General Counsel at Tesla Motors, and Director of Public Policy and Associate General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs at Tesla Motors.
