James pursued his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Portland State University, solidifying his foundation in design principles and techniques.

His professional journey includes roles at prestigious organizations such as Instrument, Outlet, supermorebetter, Red & Co., and FISK. With diverse experience ranging from designer to studio assistant and graphic design intern, James has honed his skills across various facets of the design industry.

In addition to his design roles, James has also contributed to the arts community through positions like Curatorial Assistant at GoHA and Communications Intern at Contrast Magazine, showcasing his multifaceted interests and dedication to creative endeavors.
