James Breslaw embarked on his culinary journey in the bustling restaurant scene, starting at Arizona 206 in New York City in 1986 before venturing to China Grill.
Upon his return to London, James joined the Smollensky's Organisation where he transitioned into a management role, setting the stage for his career in the food industry.
His tenure at Rank PLC in 1990 saw him managing Sweeney Todds Restaurants, further honing his skills in restaurant operations.
In a pivotal move in 1993, James established the acclaimed Jimmy Beez restaurant and bar on Portobello Road in London, which garnered recognition until 1997 when unforeseen circumstances led to its sale.
This marked a turning point as James sought to develop a scalable restaurant concept, leading to the opening of Neds Noodle Bar in 2000 near the iconic London Eye.
The success of the first location prompted expansions in Westbourne Grove in 2005 and additionally in Basildon Essex in 2008 under British Land's Eastgate Shopping Centre.
By 2014, Neds Noodle Bar embraced franchising with its debut franchise opening in Shoreditch/Hoxton's Pitfield Street, marking a new phase of growth and market presence.
Acting as a consultant from 2011 to 2012, James collaborated on the Dukes Brew and Que project in London E8, showcasing his versatility in the industry.
An exciting venture unfolded in 2015 when Neds Noodle Bar partnered with American Franchise Consultants Fransmart to expand its franchise program globally, signifying a significant milestone.
Subsequent years witnessed Neds Noodle Bar expanding to Land Securities Westgate in Oxford in 2017 and establishing a new franchise in Southampton's Marlands Shopping Centre in April 2019.
Further expansion unfolded in April 2021 with the opening of a company-owned site in the MK
An accolade in September 2021 saw Neds Noodle Bar clinching the prestigious 'Best Takeaway' title in the UK at the Golden Chopsticks Awards, underscoring the brand's commitment to excellence.
