Jalak Jobanputra

Jalak Jobanputra is an accomplished entrepreneur and venture capitalist, recognized as the Founder and Managing Partner of Future\Perfect Ventures (FPV), an early-stage venture capital fund she established in 2014. FPV focuses on investing in decentralized technologies, particularly in the realms of blockchain and cryptoassets. The fund has backed numerous notable companies, including Abra, Blockstream, and Everledger, and has garnered recognition as one of the top VC funds in blockchain technology.134

Jobanputra's career spans several prominent positions in investment and technology sectors. Before founding FPV, she served as the Director of Emerging Market Mobile Investments at Omidyar Network, a philanthropic investment firm started by eBay's co-founder Pierre Omidyar. She also held senior roles at Intel Capital and the New York City Investment Fund, where she was instrumental in establishing one of NYC's first seed funds and the Fintech Innovation Lab.234

Her educational background includes a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School and a B.A. in Communications from the Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an MBA from Kellogg School of Management in 1999. Jobanputra has been recognized for her contributions to the fintech and blockchain industries, receiving accolades such as Institutional Investor’s Most Powerful Fintech Dealmakers and Microsoft’s VC Trailblazer Award.235

In addition to her investment work, Jobanputra is actively involved in initiatives aimed at promoting diversity in technology and entrepreneurship, founding the Collective Future in 2018 to support these efforts within the blockchain sector.35
