Jakub Háva

Jakub Háva, also known as "Kuba", is a Software Engineer at H2O.ai.12 He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Master's Degree in Software Systems at Charles University in Prague.1 At H2O.ai, Jakub primarily works on the Sparkling Water project, which integrates H2O and Apache Spark.12

Jakub has been with H2O.ai for approximately four years.2 His academic work included developing a small platform for distributed computing of tasks as his bachelor's thesis, and a cluster monitoring tool for JVM-based languages during his master's studies.12

In his role, Jakub focuses on creating seamless integration between H2O and Spark, allowing users familiar with Spark environments to utilize H2O's machine learning tools within Spark.2 He enjoys tackling problems and learning new programming languages, with a recent interest in functional programming.12

Outside of work, Jakub has interests in exploring new cultures, bouldering, and tea preparation.1
